One of the 25 deadliest tornadoes in the history of the United States, the Worcester Tornado of June 9, 1953. The F-4 twister first touched down in Barre, and traveled a total of 47 miles, through the city of Worcester, before finally dissipating in Framingham. At least 90 people were killed.
